The Teachings of the Inchegiri Navnath Lineage are rooted in Advaita Vedanta

or Non-Duality and emphasize Self-Realization through direct knowledge of,

and meditation on, one’s true nature. 

The sense of individuality: “I am a separate individual, a person” is a false

identification. Realization comes through disidentification and the recognition

of one’s true identity as the Absolute, the Ultimate Reality.

Everything is illusory, the body, mind, intellect, the world. Our true nature has

been covered by superimpositions, layers of illusion from conditioning,

programming, concepts, etc. 

To remove the layers that obscure our reality, a purification or cleansing process

is essential. The sacred, Lineage Naam Mantra is given by a Guru/Realized

Master to hammer the ego, quieten the mind, remove the illusory obstacles and

re-establishment in one’s true nature. 

Reciting the Mantra, Self-enquiry, absorbing the knowledge and singing bhajans

are all part of the process that brings about liberation from the pseudo self, the

ego-mind. 

Non-dual knowledge as well as non-dual devotion are needed.  The Guru is

essential. The Guru’s word is truth. The Guru accelerates the process, guiding

the seeker back to his inner Guru or true Self – Selfless Self.
